Food & Nutritional Services at St. Joseph's
Nutrition counseling - because you can change the way you eat.
Why Nutrition Counseling?
The consumer market overflows with nutrition advice. Unfortunately, much of it is incomplete, inaccurate or misleading ... it is designed primarily to sell products.
For some, changing long-standing habits has become an important part of a healthier life style. For others, a doctor may recommend diet changes following the diagnosis of a particular disease.
You can meet with a qualified nutrition counselor to learn what changes are needed and how to put them into practice. Meal plans are customized to meet the need of each individual.
Who Needs Nutritional Counseling?
People with gastrointestinal disorders
People with particular food allergies or sensitivities
People with the complications of obesity
People with osteoporosis
... or anyone interested in imporving their eating habits ... or finding out if they need to.
Because prescribed, therapeutic diets are usually the case, referral from your physician is necessary.
