St. Joseph's Auxiliary receives advocacy recognition

The Healthcare Association of New York State (HANYS) recently presented its 2008 Auxiliary Advocacy Recognition to St. Joseph's Hospital's Auxiliary. The honor recognized St. Joseph's Auxiliary for its significant time and effort serving as an advocate for the facility and the community.

During this past year St. Joseph's Auxiliary participated in several community health fairs, cholesterol and glucose screenings, blood pressure screenings, community blood drives, as well as with Catholic Charities of the Southern Tier's Mother's Helpers Program.

Organized in June of 1954, St. Joseph's Auxiliary was established to promote and advance the welfare of the hospital, render service to the hospital and its patients as well as to raise money for use in and by the hospital.
