Nursing School History - Page 6

Our School entered into the Cadet Nurse Program.  Those who signed up received uniforms and a monthly stipend.  In addition, they got a full day off each week.  The program was reduced to 30 months so more could be prepared in a shorter period of time.   Many of our graduates joined the Armed Forces.  After the war the program returned to 36 months.  Then, after 1946 came the flood that wiped out the basement and the laundry building.  How many of you remember climbing out Surgical 2 ward window and down the ladder in order to get to the Dunn?
